Man dies after car and minibus crash in Heskin

A man has died after a crash between a car and minibus in Lancashire.

A Ford Ka and a Ford Transit minibus collided in Wood Lane, Heskin, near Chorley, at about 2130 BST on Thursday, police said.

The driver of the Ka was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital but later died.

A passenger in the minibus suffered suspected spinal injuries. She was cut free from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to hospital.

Police have appealed to any witnesses to get in touch.

They also want to hear from anyone who saw the car before the crash, which is understood to have travelled from Coppull.
