Man dies after motorcycle crash in Chorley

A man has died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed in a south Lancashire road.

The 25-year-old crashed in Ackhurst Road, Chorley, at about 2155 BST on Thursday. It is not thought any other vehicle was involved.

He was taken to Chorley and South Ribble Hospital with serious head injuries but died shortly afterwards.

Lancashire Police have appealed to any witnesses to the collision to get in touch.
