Trial date set over Haslingden teen stab death

A 24-year-old man from Lancashire charged with murdering a 17-year-old boy is due to stand trial next year.

Declan Eastwood was found seriously injured in Princess Street, Haslingden, early on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital but died soon afterwards. A post-mortem examination found he died of multiple stab wounds.

Sean Fell, of George Street, Haslingden, was remanded in custody at Preston Crown Court until 17 October when he will enter his plea.

A provisional trial date has been set for 16 January.

Lancashire police has appealed to anyone with information to contact the force.
