Teenage couple deny Lancaster baby death

A teenage couple have denied the murder of a four-month-old baby in Lancaster.

Christopher Roberts of Knighton, Powys, and Karen Irvine of Lark Field, Penrith are charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.

The boy was found collapsed at his home in Scotforth, Lancaster, in November, and died of a bleed to the brain several days later in hospital.

The pair, who are both 19, were bailed at Preston Crown Court ahead of a trial on 12 March.
