Blackpool club blaze: Manager arrested in arson probe

The manager of a Blackpool social club destroyed by fire has been arrested on suspicion of arson.

Fifty people had to be moved from 25 homes when the blaze tore through Blackpool Trades Club in Chadwick Street on 31 October.

The arrested man is understood to be club manager Barry Griezans

A police spokeswoman said: "A 29-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. He was released on bail to 18 January."
