David Sagar named as Blackpool sea death teenager

A 17-year-old boy who died after falling into the sea at Blackpool has been named by police.

David Sagar, who lived in the town, fell from the sea wall into the water near Gynn Square, in the North Shore area of the resort, at about 16:20 BST on Friday.

Emergency crews were alerted by a friend of the boy.

Two lifeboats were launched and the crew pulled David from the water but were unable to revive him.
