Preston man charged with two terrorism offences

A man has been charged with terror offences after an investigation by the North West Counter Terrorism Unit.

Craig Slee, 41, of Trawden Crescent, Preston, has been charged with encouraging terrorism and dissemination of terrorist publications.

He is also charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and is due before Westminster magistrates on 8 May.

Police said there was no evidence to suggest any community was at risk in connection with the alleged offences.
