Police in Lancashire seize drugs with street value of £1m

Drugs with an estimated street value of £1m have been seized after two raids in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Police said 17kg of amphetamines were recovered at an address at Firbank, Bamber Bridge, Lancashire on Tuesday.

A second raid in Downall Green Road, Wigan, Greater Manchester, recovered 20kg of amphetamines, police said.

Three men aged 38, 39 and 56 have been arrested on suspicion of possession and intent to supply a controlled substance.

Det Insp Graham Coates said: "To have found and seized drugs worth at least £1m is a substantial achievement and will help us in our efforts to stifle amphetamine suppliers in the county making Lancashire a safer place to live."
