Man accused of Blackpool takeaway killing

A man has been charged with the manslaughter of a man who was killed as he tried to break up a late night fight in a Blackpool takeaway.

Allan Glenny, 23, of Clinton Avenue, is accused of killing Ricky Guest-Binns, 44, who was knocked unconscious in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened at the Chicken Express takeaway on Caunce Street at about 01:00 BST.

Mr Guest-Binns was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Police believe the fight was between a man and a member of staff.

Mr Glenny has also been charged with common assault in relation to an incident which took place immediately after the assault inside the Chicken Express.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates Court on Monday.
