Arrest after £50k cannabis found in Accrington house

A 34-year-old man has been arrested after police seized cannabis with an estimated street value of almost £50,000 from a house in Lancashire.

Officers found 117 plants in the living room and bedrooms of a house on Richmond Hill Street in Accrington on Friday morning.

Lancashire Police said cultivation equipment including lighting and fans was also seized in the raid.

PC Shazia Bibi described it as a "significant cannabis set up".
