Tributes to lamppost crash victim Andrew Lee Dickinson

Tributes have been paid to 26-year-old man who was killed when his car crashed into a lamppost in Blackpool.

Andrew Lee Dickinson's blue MG convertible hit the lamppost on South Promenade, near the Solaris Centre, at about 06:30 BST on Saturday.

Mr Dickinson was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The result of a post-mortem examination on the father-of-two, from the Fylde Coast, is due later this week.

A statement issued by his family said: "Andrew Lee Dickinson, 26, was the son of Lee and Sharon, brother of Samantha and father to two wonderful young children aged five and three.

"He has been taken suddenly and tragically from us and we will miss him forever. He will never be far from our thoughts."
