Appeal to trace Lancashire crash witness

Police are trying to trace a woman who is believed to have stopped at the scene of a fatal crash in Lancashire.

Two people died after the crash between a Vauxhall Corsa and a Ford Focus on Whalley New Road, Wilpshire, at about 22:30 GMT on 11 November.

Robert Carson, 35, from Blackburn, died that night and Zolillur Rahman, 24, from Rossendale, died five days later.

Police want to speak to a woman who had been driving an Audi between Wilpshire and Blackburn.

PC Paul Cornall from the Road Policing Unit said: "We are very keen to speak to that lady as she may have vital information to assist in our investigation.

"I would also renew our initial appeal to anyone else who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to come forward and contact the police."
