Girl, six, badly injured in Preesall crash
A six-year-old girl is in a serious condition after she was hit by a car in Lancashire.
The girl, from Pilling, got off a bus on Sandy Lane in Preesall at about 16:00 GMT on Thursday when she was struck by an oncoming Hyundai Amica.
Police said she was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital with head and chest injuries and was later transferred to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
She is said to be in a serious but stable condition.
Sgt Dave Hogarth said: "I would appeal to any passengers that were on the bus or anybody that witnessed this collision to come forward and speak with police on 101.
"In particular I would appeal to the driver of a small saloon car that was behind the bus at the time of the collision to come forward.
"This vehicle was stationary either waiting behind the bus or waiting to turn right down Fordstone Avenue."
