Blackpool man spared jail for double fatal Weeton bike crash

A motorcyclist convicted of dangerous driving after a biker and his pillion passenger died when they hit a tractor in Lancashire has been spared jail.

Daren Leslie, 36, from Blackpool, was given an eight-month suspended sentence at Preston Crown Court.

Patrick Cresswell, 46, and pillion Suzanne Smith, 25, from Marton in Blackpool, were killed in Mythop Road near Weeton on 9 September last year.

Leslie, of Norfolk Road, was banned from driving for two years.

He was also ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid community work.
