A rapist from Lancashire who was jailed for life has had his minimum term cut by a year on appeal.

Anthony Phillips, 38, from Chorley, was ordered to serve a minimum of 11 years in April at Preston Crown Court for rape.

He pleaded guilty to raping a woman in September 2012.

Giving judgment at the Court of Appeal in London, the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Thomas, reduced the minimum term he must serve to 10 years.
