Police are hunting three bogus tradesmen who stole an elderly man's £8,000 life savings.
The 79-year-old was approached by the men and told repairs were needed to the roof of his home in Hyndburn Street, Accrington.
He handed over £300 before being distracted and led outside by one of the men.
Another man then went to his bedroom and stole about £8,000 from an open safe.
The three offenders, described as white and aged in their 30s and 40s, then left and said they would return after lunch, but failed to do so.
Lancashire Constabulary has released CCTV images of a white Vauxhall van they are searching for in connection with the theft, which happened at 10:00 BST on 29 April.
The vehicle had distinctive white wing mirrors and may have had "RD Roofing" written on the side.
The three suspects had "Northern Roofing" written on their jackets.
PC Andy Ronga said: "This is an absolutely despicable crime carried out against an elderly and vulnerable man."
