Victims named following Burnley three-car crash on M65

Two men who were killed in a three-car collision on a Lancashire motorway have been named by police.

Mazafar Iqbal, 47, from Nelson and Mohammed Iqbal, 49, from Burnley, died in the early hours of Saturday.

Their Peugeot 106 collided with two other cars on the M65, leaving two of the vehicles overturned. The cars were all travelling towards Burnley between junctions 9 and 10.

Both men, who were not related, died at the scene, police said.

The driver of a Renault Clio was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of a Citroen C2 was uninjured.
