M58 embankment crash: David Dale 'kind and generous'
A man from west Lancashire who died when his car veered down a motorway embankment has been described as "kind and generous" by his family.
Police said David Dale, 68, from Aughton, lost control of his car on the M58 westbound near junction one on Friday evening.
His relatives said he was a successful businessman who was known particularly well in Liverpool.
Mr Dale was also a "huge" Everton fan who regularly attended matches.
His family said: "He was a devoted father and for his three daughters nothing was too much.
"He also doted on his seven grandchildren and them, along with all of his family and friends, will now have a significant void in their lives as a result of his untimely death."
Lancashire Police said Mr Dale may have suffered a "medical episode" at the wheel of his black Mercedes car.
Officers have appealed for witnesses.
