Kevin Donaghue: Clayton-le-Moors biker, 46, dies after Blackburn crash

A motorcyclist has been killed after his bike was involved in a crash with a car in Lancashire, said police.

Kevin Donaghue, 46, died in hospital after suffering serious injuries in the crash on Higher Ramsgreave Road, Blackburn at 16:40 GMT on Monday.

Police believe Mr Donaghue, from Clayton-le-Moors, lost control of the Kawasaki motorbike, resulting in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf.

The driver of the car was uninjured, said police.

In a statement, Mr Donaghue's family said: "Kevin was a thoughtful man who was much loved by all. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
