Leeds tenants offered house move in council scheme

People living in council houses in west Leeds are being offered the chance to move into larger properties in a council scheme to ease overcrowding.

The authority said moving tenants into the new 24 houses on Farrow Road, Armley, would release homes for those on the council house waiting list.

The Farrow development is made up of 14 homes available for rent with a further 10 available for shared ownership.

The council said it hoped to roll out similar schemes across the city.
