Leeds family robbed at home by armed gang

A family were robbed in their home by three armed raiders who fled in a stolen car with jewellery.

West Yorkshire Police said the thieves targeted the family on Manor House Lane in the Alwoodley area of Leeds.

A man aged 62 and his 50-year-old wife were threatened with a shotgun, along with their two teenage daughters, before the gang took their car.

The robbers were described as male, one black and one with an Asian background, and the third man had a local accent.

Officers said one of the teenage girls required medical attention after a scuffle with a thief.
