Fans of artist Ashley Jackson have followed in his footsteps, joining him on a one-off tour of Holme Valley locations depicted in his paintings.
Mr Jackson, 71, hoped the walk would attract new visitors to Holmfirth and the surrounding countryside.
The television artist took fans to various locations so they could compare his watercolour interpretations.
Mr Jackson was joined on the unique walk by schoolchildren from Holmfirth.
The 71-year-old's landscape paintings have been exhibited worldwide, but he is perhaps best known in the UK for his television series A Brush with Ashley.
Mr Jackson, who is originally from Barnsley but is now based in Holmfirth, said he hoped the walk would open people's eyes.
'Beauty of landscape'
"I have always said many people look, but few see," he said.
"I hope this walk will encourage others to see the beauty of the landscape and value it for generations."
The artist took walkers along single track roads around Holmfirth, as well as through parts of the town itself.
Gary Verity, chief executive of tourism agency Welcome to Yorkshire, said he supported Mr Jackson's bid to boost visitor numbers.
"This innovative walk will not only attract more people to the area, but allow people to experience the journeys Ashley went on which inspired him to create such wonderful work," he said.
Mr Jackson will not be present on future walks, but a brochure containing route maps and artwork by the artist is now available for download.
