A man has appeared in court charged with a knife murder at a block of flats in Leeds.

Stewart McGowan, 42, died after he was stabbed at the flats in Burnsall Croft, Armley, on Friday evening.

James Blair, 44, of Highthorne Grove, Armley, was remanded in custody by Leeds magistrates to appear at the city's crown court on Thursday.

A boy aged 15 and man aged 39 who were held in connection with the death are on bail while inquiries continue.
