Murder inquiry after body found at Temple Newsam

A man has been arrested and a murder inquiry started after the body of a man was found by a dog walker close to a golf course in east Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said Jason Hall, aged 36, was discovered at the junction of Temple Newsam View and Temple Newsam Road early on Wednesday morning.

He had been in the Leodis pub on Green Lane and the Tesco Express shop on Selby Road on Tuesday evening.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is being questioned by detectives.
