Homes evacuated in Bradford over cylinder fire fear

More than 60 homes have been evacuated in West Yorkshire amid fears that a fire at a garage could spread to nearby acetylene cylinders.

Residents living within 200m of the blaze on Woodhall Terrace in the Thornbury area of Bradford have been told to leave their homes.

A fire service spokesman said it was hoped they could spend the night with family or at a nearby sports centre.

Crews are expected to be on site for the next 24 hours.
