Man tasered by police in Leeds dies from stab wounds
A man tasered by police after he refused to surrender a knife in Leeds has died from stab wounds.
Officers were called to Poplar Square in Farsley in the early hours where a woman was found with stab wounds.
Police said the man was armed with a knife which he refused to surrender and officers then used a taser gun.
It was then that the man was found to have stab injuries. He died later in hospital. The woman's injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
Police have referred the case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
