More than 30 schools were closed in West Yorkshire on Tuesday due to snow and ice.

A yellow weather warning remains in place across the county because of the risk of ice on untreated surfaces.

The bad weather did not cause the same level of disruption as on Monday, when 600 schools closed due to the weather.

Part of the A640 New Hey Road in Huddersfield was closed due to the weather and there was some flight disruption at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Local authorities said priority routes would continue to be gritted, but they urged drivers to take extra care.

There has been disruption to bus services with some services travelling on main roads only.
