Police search teams looking for a missing woman have found a body in West Yorkshire.

The body was found on Sunday at an area off Blackstone Edge Road near Mytholmroyd.

West Yorkshire Police said the woman has not been formally identified.

The body was discovered by officers searching the area as part of an investigation into the disappearance of 55-year-old Pamela Jackson, from County Durham, who was last seen on 2 March.

Her partner Adrian Muir, 50, from Halifax, has been charged with her murder.

Police using dogs found the body at about 14:00 BST and said it had been found "some metres" from the roadside.

Ms Jackson, who had three sons and four grandchildren, was last seen at her home in Chester-le-Street.
