Three men, two of them brothers, have pleaded not guilty over a collision which seriously injured two children.

Sabah Saleem, 10, was left with life-threatening injuries after she and her two-year-old brother, Rayhan, were hit on Brudenell Road, Leeds, in August.

Mohammed Khalil Anwar, 36, of Brudenell Mount, denies dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

Mohammed Jamil Anwar, 42, and Raja Ansar Khan, 40, of Butcher Hill, deny perverting the course of justice.

The children were knocked down on 18 August after buying onions for their family's Eid celebrations.

Both underwent surgery at Leeds General Infirmary.

A trial date was set at Leeds Crown Court for 4 November.
