Bradford man jailed for murdering former girlfriend
A man has been jailed for life for the murder of his former partner who was found strangled in a caravan in Bradford.
The body of 22-year-old mother-of-two Jade Watson, of Plumpton Gardens, was found in a caravan behind a house in Wood Lane, Swain House, last November.
James Gray, 25, from Wood Lane, was ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years in prison.
He admitted manslaughter at Bradford Crown Court, but had denied murder.
After the sentencing, Jade's older sister, Becki Watson, said: "While justice has now been done, no sentence will ever justify what a lovely person we've lost.
"We will never come to terms with losing Jade, and will always feel hurt at the way she was so cruelly and suddenly taken from us."
Det. Sup Mark Ridley, from West Yorkshire Police, said: "This was a very sad case, but the important thing for Jade's family is that they now have justice.
"Jade was much loved by her children, her family and her friends, and we hope that the conviction of James Gray will help to give them some comfort."
