Police have said they are "concerned" about a man who has been missing since the night of his work Christmas party.

Kalist Musinga, aged 47, was last seen by relatives on Thursday night before he was due to attend the party in the centre of Leeds.

Mr Musinga was due to attend an event at the New Dock Bar opposite the Royal Armouries in the city.

The last possible sighting of him was at 01:20 GMT on Friday near the Holiday Inn hotel on Armouries Drive.

Det Insp Marc Bowes, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "We are concerned for Mr Musinga's welfare as it is out of character for him not to be in contact with his family.

"Searches have been ongoing around the area surrounding the Royal Armouries and I would encourage anyone with information or who may have seen Mr Musinga to contact Leeds District Police via 101.

"I'm particular keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the Holiday Inn or New Dock, taxi drivers who may have been collecting fares from the taxi rank and security or event staff that may have been working nearby."

Officers said Mr Musinga is just over 5ft tall and was wearing a burgundy coloured shirt, black shoes, brown or grey trousers and a black coat.
