Castleford schools closed as roof damaged by fire

Two schools have been closed after a large fire broke out.
The blaze started in the roof of Airedale Junior School, in Fryston Road, Castleford, at about 19.15 BST on Thursday. At its height about forty firefighters were in attendance.
According to the school's website, the roof was in the process of being repaired.
Both Airedale Junior School and the nearby infants school have been closed until further notice.
