Murder police name Barwell flat fire man

A man whose body was found following a flat fire in Leicestershire has been named by police.

A murder investigation was launched after the discovery of Michael Grubb's body on Monday evening in Mill Street, Barwell.

Officers have appealed for anyone who saw Mr Grubb, who was aged 42 and from the area, to contact them.

Two local men who have been arrested in connection with the incident are still in police custody.

Det Ch Insp Mark Harrison, of Leicestershire police said: "If you saw him out and about, or he was in contact with you between Thursday 15 July and the day of the fire, please let me know.

"I also want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area on the day of the fire or in the days leading up to it. What you saw may not seem of huge significance to you, but it could be vital to our investigation."
