Girl, 5, injured in hit and run in Leicestershire

A five-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with a broken leg after a hit-and-run in Leicestershire.
The girl was hit by a Hyundai car on Tower Road in Earl Shilton late in the afternoon of 31 July and taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The driver has been described as a white man, between 50 and 60 years old, with grey hair and a scruffy appearance.
Police said a 60-year-old woman has been arrested and released on bail.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
