Workload forces Leicester mayoress to step down

The Lady Mayoress of Leicester has announced she is standing down less than three months into the job for personal reasons.
Eleanor Davidson said she has struggled to balance the commitments of the role with her personal life.
She added that she is concerned about the impact the workload might have on her health if she continued.
Since taking on the position 10 weeks ago, Mayoress Davidson has attended more than 80 events.
