People racing cars or taking part in nuisance driving in part of Leicestershire are being warned they could have their cars seized.
Police in Castle Donington said there have been several incidents of weekly "car cruise" gatherings.
On Monday nights officers seized one car and four other drivers were given Section 59 notices.
Pc Colin Gardner said: "Our message is a simple one - dangerous and nuisance driving will not be tolerated."
Another driver received an on-the-spot fine for having a faulty fog light and one was fined for speeding.
Pc Gardner added: "In recent weeks numbers of car cruise attendees have increased and complaint calls from public have also increased.
"If they continue to gather like this and drive in an inconsiderate or dangerous manner, then other drivers also face the prospect of having their vehicles seized."
