Police investigating the death of a man in Rutland have appealed for help in tracing his car.

Max Wilson, 49, was taken to hospital after officers were called to Thistleton Road, Market Overton, on 13 August but he died a short time later.

The investigating team have so far been unable to locate his car, a blue Toyota Aygo, with the number plate AJ58 KJE.

A 37-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man have been arrested in connection with his death.

They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Det Insp Simon Cure said: "We know that Mr Wilson was at the Noel Arms, in Langham, between 12 noon and 12.30pm on the Friday. At around 1pm the same day he visited a friend near Oakham railway station on his Kawasaki motorbike.

"We believe he would have parked his car close to Oakham town centre. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that he could have taken it to any location within half-an-hours drive."

Officers have not released any more details of how Mr Wilson died.
