Two men charged over street attack in Leicester

Two teenagers aged 17 and 18 have been charged after two men were attacked in Leicester.

The attack took place early on 2 July, when the two victims suffered head injuries in Horsefair Street.

The two male suspects were arrested and have now been charged with causing racially and religiously aggravated ABH, affray and attempted theft.

Both are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court on 22 September. A third man faces no further action.

The 17-year-old was also charged with theft and the 18-year-old was additionally charged with destroying and damaging property and possessing a controlled Class B drug.

Both victims were discharged from hospital on the day of the attack.
