Two charged over Burbage 'chatroom' attack

Two teenagers have been charged with attempting to rob a man who was allegedly lured to a Leicestershire park via an internet chat room.

The victim, aged 50, was assaulted in Colts Close, Burbage, near Hinckley on 14 March.

Police said they were treating the incident as a homophobic attack.

Two males, a 17-year-old from Burbage and a 19-year-old from Coventry, have been charged with conspiracy to rob and released on bail.

They are due to appear before Hinckley magistrates on 20 September.
