DVD tackles anti-social behaviour in Leicestershire

A DVD to help both victims and those who carry out anti-social behaviour has been put together by a Leicestershire council.

The 10-minute film called "Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour" shows victims what help is available and offenders how they can change their ways.

Councillor David Snartt from Charnwood Borough Council said the idea was to offer advice in an "accessible medium".

The DVD will be available from the council from 1 September.

Mr Snartt said: "This is... designed to not only help vulnerable and hard-to-reach members of our community, but to also tell offenders what action we will take.

"It also provides an important single point of information for people who want to know more about what they can do if they are victims of anti-social behaviour."

The film was made in partnership with Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing and funded by a government grant of £4,797.
