Driver killed in Empingham lorry collision

A 78-year-old driver has been killed in a collision between a lorry and a car in Rutland.

The crash occurred at 0915 BST on the A606, Whitwell Road, in Empingham and involved a BMW and a Scania lorry.

George Corah, of Burnham Market, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, who was driving the BMW, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the lorry received minor injuries.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the collision to come forward.
