Motorists warned over car thefts in Anstey Heights

Motorists have been urged to remove valuable items from parked vehicles following a spate of thefts in Leicester.

Six vehicles were broken into in the Anstey Heights area of Beaumont Leys on Monday night.

Items stolen included CD players, stereos and MP3 players. Police have urged drivers to ensure they lock their vehicles and consider fitting alarms.

Officers have appealed to anyone who witnessed the thefts to come forward.
