Fire damages former Leicester brewery site

A fire which further damaged a derelict building in Leicester may have been caused by homeless people trying to keep warm.

The incident at All Saints Brewery on Highcross Street, parts of which are listed, began on Monday evening.

The road was closed until mid morning, causing traffic problems for rush hour commuters.

Fire crews said early investigations suggested the fire had been deliberate rather than malicious.

The building had also been damaged by another fire earlier in the month.
