Alert as gun and ammunition stolen in Leicestershire

The theft of a gun and ammunition has prompted an appeal from police in Leicestershire.
The weapon, a Midland Gun Company self-loading 12 bore shotgun, was stolen from a car in Empingham on Sunday.
Cartridges and rucksack containing camouflage nets was also stolen during the incident.
Police are urging anyone who has information on the gun - which had been dismantled - or any of the items involved, to get in touch.
