Snow leads police to Leicester cannabis find

  • Published

The lack of snow on a roof has led police to a cannabis farm in a house in Leicester.

Officers searched the property on Montrose Road on Thursday after suspicions were raised by local residents.

They found about 300 plants along with drugs paraphernalia. Police had noticed the house was one of a few in the area without snow on the roof.

Cannabis factories are kept warm to encourage plant growth.

Leicestershire Police said no-one was in the house and no arrests had yet been made.
