Death of woman in Shepshed 'not suspicious'

Leicestershire police have confirmed the death of a woman whose body was found in Shepshed on Wednesday is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were called to the Butt Hole Lane area of Shepshed at about 1300 GMT and cordoned off part of the road.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Wednesday evening revealed the death was not suspicious.

The 40-year-old woman, who has not been named, had been reported missing at 1430 GMT on Tuesday.
