Police have released CCTV images of several people they want to trace after a series of arson attacks in Leicester.

In the past two weeks, wheelie bins, sheds and a car have been set on fire in the Glenfield and New Parks areas.

Officers believe the attacks are linked to the theft of milk from a house in Gynsill Close, Anstey, which was also caught on camera.

Anyone who recognises the people in the images should contact Leicestershire police.

Between 28 and 30 January, bins were set alight in the grounds of Stokes Wood Primary School, Blackett Avenue.

On 30 January, wheelie bin was set on fire outside a property on Amhurst Close, while on the same night a fire was started in sheds at Hall Primary School, Glenfield Frith Road.

A car was set alight in Gynsill Close early on 3 February.

Det Con Del Gillespie said: "We believe due to the similarities between these incidents that they have been committed by the same people.

"We're asking people to take a close look at these CCTV images. I'm sure anyone who knows these people will recognise them. If you do or are indeed the people in the images we would urge you to contact us."
