New charges over Leicester EDL protest day

Ten more men and a 14-year-old boy have been charged with various offences after a protest in Leicester.

In October 2010 the English Defence League and Unite Against Fascism held opposing demonstrations, which saw 15 men and one woman arrested.

Police said they had also investigated problems later in the day and had arrested 16 more people.

Of these, 11 have been charged with a total of 16 offences ranging from attempted criminal damage to affray.

Those charged will appear in court in coming weeks.
