CCTV installed to combat Market Harborough disorder

A temporary CCTV camera has been installed in a Leicestershire town following concerns about anti-social behaviour.

Market Harborough's community safety partnership introduced the camera at shops on Western Avenue.

The move follows complaints from local traders and residents about nuisance behaviour.

The area will now be monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV staff and police, said Harborough District Council.

Harborough District Community Safety Partnership is made up of representatives from organisations including the local and county councils, Leicestershire Police and the fire service.
