One person has been taken to hospital after a fire at a flat in central Leicester.

Firefighters were called to Albion Street at 2340 BST on Tuesday and used breathing apparatus to search the property.

At its height five crews tackled the flames and an aerial ladder was used.

An investigation into the cause has begun but it is not thought to be suspicious. The condition of the injured person is still being assessed.
